Cashless authorization, claim admissibility and final approval depend on the customer’s policy terms, insurer approval, survey findings and applicable network/cashless arrangements.
Checking the authorised repair scope
The following planning guidance explains a specific part of the workshop process. It does not claim special IFFCO Tokio benefits or replace the insurer’s policy wording and claim instructions.
Compare the estimate with the decision
An estimate is the workshop’s proposal; authorisation may accept, alter or exclude parts of it. Ask for the approved scope to be explained in ordinary language, including any repair-versus-replacement decision that affects the final job.
Ask about work that is still conditional
Some lines may depend on dismantling findings or another assessment. Identify those items before setting a collection date. The workshop should not silently treat a pending line as approved merely because related damage elsewhere has been accepted.
Approve unrelated repairs separately
If diagnosis identifies a worn component unrelated to the impact, discuss its urgency and price outside the insurance scope. A separate instruction helps avoid both an inaccurate claim and an unexpected final invoice. You can ask for time to consider non-urgent extras.
Useful preparation for this enquiry
- Current estimate version
- Insurer decision or query reference
- Separate approval for maintenance not linked to the incident
Does approval of one damaged panel cover all work on the car?
No. Confirm the authorised scope for each proposed operation and the treatment of any additional findings.
