Cashless authorization, claim admissibility and final approval depend on the customer’s policy terms, insurer approval, survey findings and applicable network/cashless arrangements.
Photographs that explain the accident
The following planning guidance explains a specific part of the workshop process. It does not claim special Chola MS benefits or replace the insurer’s policy wording and claim instructions.
Take photographs only from a safe position
Personal safety comes before evidence collection. Once it is safe, wider views can show the affected side of the vehicle and closer images can show the damaged area. Keep original files instead of applying filters that obscure the condition.
Explain uncertainty honestly
If you do not know the exact cause of a noise after an impact, say so. Distinguish the reported incident from a technician’s later findings. The workshop’s inspection supports the repair estimate; it is not a substitute for the insurer’s assessment.
Record damage found after dismantling
A broken mounting or concealed deformation may become visible later. The workshop can photograph and describe the finding and seek the required consideration before extending work. Do not assume a visible surface dent proves every underlying component requires replacement.
Useful preparation for this enquiry
- Unedited incident photos, where safely available
- Date, location and a brief factual account
- Any earlier damage disclosed at vehicle intake
Should I mark every scratch as part of one accident?
No. Describe the reported event accurately and identify older or unrelated damage separately for the insurer to assess.
