Mercedes-Benz facelift and exterior upgrade enquiries

Mercedes-Benz exterior work should be planned around the individual car’s identity and fitted equipment. CarTech Hub helps you define a realistic facelift or bodywork enquiry, including the appearance you want and the functions the finished vehicle must retain.

A NEW LOOK.
THE SAME VEHICLE.

“Old-to-new” describes exterior styling. Your original manufacture year, chassis/VIN and registered identity stay the same. An exterior upgrade does not add a newer generation’s engineering or safety features.

A CLEAR PLAN BEFORE PARTS

Exterior work to discuss with CarTech Hub

Record the model family, body style, manufacture year and variant. State whether the car is a saloon, long-wheelbase model, coupé, cabriolet or SUV, and include the series reference if available. A model badge or an AMG-style description alone is not a component specification.

01

Grille and bumper styling

Discuss the exact grille, bumper and surrounding trim together. Their suitability depends on the original vehicle and its fitted equipment; the appearance reference does not by itself approve a kit.

02

Lighting and exterior trim

Bring details of any proposed headlight, taillight or trim upgrade. Identify the original units and functions so mechanical fitment and electronic dependencies can be assessed together.

03

Paint and panel presentation

Consider existing paint condition, earlier repairs and the desired finish. The estimate should distinguish corrective bodywork from optional restyling and refinishing.

COMPATIBILITY COMES FIRST

What the assessment needs to establish

The exact model year and fitted equipment matter more than a kit’s marketing name.

  • Model family, body style and exact vehicle specification.
  • The complete proposed component and fitting list.
  • The location and operation of fitted sensors and cameras.
  • Lamp functions, electrical connections and any specialist requirements.
  • Panel alignment, finish quality and agreed completion checks.

Scope and practical limits

An AMG-inspired or newer-generation appearance does not make the vehicle an AMG model or change its original year. Any change affecting safety equipment, structural elements or functions beyond the accepted scope requires separate assessment and applicable approval.

FROM AN IDEA TO AN AGREED JOB

Four steps. A clear scope.

CarTech Hub’s workshop is in Sawkuchi, Guwahati. If you are travelling from elsewhere in Assam or Northeast India, discuss your vehicle before arranging the journey.

  1. 01

    Share the vehicle

Give the original year, model, variant, previous body repairs and clear exterior photographs. Show us the look you want.

  2. 02

    Check the fit

Arrange an inspection of mounting points, body condition, fitted lights and equipment. Confirm parts, technical requirements and applicable approvals.

  3. 03

    Agree the scope

Review an itemised parts and labour proposal, finish expectations and any work outside the accepted scope. Timing follows the assessment and parts confirmation.

  4. 04

    Review the result

Inspect panel gaps, secure fittings, paint finish and the operation of affected equipment. Keep the work record and any required approval documents.

YOUR CAR. YOUR IDEA.

Let’s plan
the right upgrade.

Start with the vehicle you own and the look you have in mind. We’ll confirm the work that can be accepted after checking the vehicle, parts and applicable requirements.

All existing vehicle entries remain available for enquiries. A listing does not confirm a conversion kit or workshop capability for that model.

Use the original year, not the look you want.

Hello CarTech Hub, I would like a modification assessment. Vehicle: Mercedes-Benz Please confirm feasibility, parts, required approvals and an inspection appointment.

Supported years, parts and the accepted scope are confirmed after inspection. No kit availability is implied by this selection.

Read the relevant modification guide →You can review the WhatsApp message before sending it. Add exterior photos and a reference for your preferred look when speaking to the workshop. If you book instead, include the manufacture year, generation and desired look in the booking notes.
IDENTITY, APPROVALS & INSURANCE

Plan the work with the paperwork.

Before work starts, confirm whether the proposed changes are permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act and Central Motor Vehicles Rules, and whether registration-authority approval or an RC endorsement is required. Lighting and body changes must satisfy the applicable requirements; a fitting kit is not proof of legal approval.

Discuss any proposed alteration with your insurer. A styling upgrade is not automatically an insured repair or a cashless claim. Parts sourcing, specialist calibration and compliance documentation must be confirmed for the individual job.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your modification questions.

Clear answers about the vehicle, the intended look and the next step.

Can a C-Class use an E-Class-style conversion kit?

A similar styling idea is not a fitment match. Identify the actual C-Class and the exact proposed components. The workshop must assess whether a suitable, compliant appearance change can be accepted without treating another model’s parts as interchangeable.

Does an AMG-style bumper create an AMG vehicle?

No. It describes an appearance request only. The registered model, original vehicle identity and underlying specification remain those of the car you own.

What should I provide for a lighting upgrade enquiry?

Share the manufacture year, variant, photographs of the existing lamps and the proposed part details. Include any current lamp warnings or previous electrical work so they can be considered before a scope is agreed.
