BMW 3 Series old-to-new styling and facelift assessment

A sharper front end or coordinated exterior finish can be discussed without treating a BMW 3 Series as a different generation. Bring your styling reference to CarTech Hub in Sawkuchi, Guwahati, for a vehicle-specific enquiry.

A NEW LOOK.
THE SAME VEHICLE.

“Old-to-new” describes exterior styling. Your original manufacture year, chassis/VIN and registered identity stay the same. An exterior upgrade does not add a newer generation’s engineering or safety features.

A CLEAR PLAN BEFORE PARTS

3 Series modification planning

State the manufacture year, body style and variant, and share current front and rear photographs. Distinguish the particular 3 Series from other body styles or a long-wheelbase model. Include any earlier bumper replacement, aftermarket lamps or existing dashboard warnings in the enquiry.

01

Front bumper and grille proposal

Identify the grille, bumper cover and adjoining trim together. Ask whether the proposal retains the existing lamps and what supporting brackets, liners and fasteners need assessment.

02

Coordinated side and rear appearance

Discuss side-skirt and rear-trim ideas with ground clearance, lifting access and the vehicle’s existing exhaust arrangement in view. Decorative details should not imply an engine or performance conversion.

03

Paint and finish planning

Separate damage repair from optional styling and agree a finish for the whole visible assembly. Request an itemised proposal so preparation, parts and paint are understandable before approval.

COMPATIBILITY COMES FIRST

What we need to check

The exact model year and fitted equipment matter more than a kit’s marketing name.

  • Confirm the actual generation and equipment before using a seller’s kit description.
  • Identify affected parking sensors, cameras, lamp functions and their mountings.
  • Review panel alignment, service access and any specialist procedures the proposal requires.
  • Record existing body damage and warning messages separately from the appearance request.

Scope and practical limits

An M-inspired appearance does not make the vehicle an M3 or add factory performance equipment.

No cross-generation fitment, electronic coding capability or accepted year range is promised by this page.

FROM AN IDEA TO AN AGREED JOB

Four steps. A clear scope.

CarTech Hub’s workshop is in Sawkuchi, Guwahati. If you are travelling from elsewhere in Assam or Northeast India, discuss your vehicle before arranging the journey.

  1. 01

    Share the vehicle

Give the original year, model, variant, previous body repairs and clear exterior photographs. Show us the look you want.

  2. 02

    Check the fit

Arrange an inspection of mounting points, body condition, fitted lights and equipment. Confirm parts, technical requirements and applicable approvals.

  3. 03

    Agree the scope

Review an itemised parts and labour proposal, finish expectations and any work outside the accepted scope. Timing follows the assessment and parts confirmation.

  4. 04

    Review the result

Inspect panel gaps, secure fittings, paint finish and the operation of affected equipment. Keep the work record and any required approval documents.

YOUR CAR. YOUR IDEA.

Let’s plan
the right upgrade.

Start with the vehicle you own and the look you have in mind. We’ll confirm the work that can be accepted after checking the vehicle, parts and applicable requirements.

All existing vehicle entries remain available for enquiries. A listing does not confirm a conversion kit or workshop capability for that model.

Use the original year, not the look you want.

Hello CarTech Hub, I would like a modification assessment. Vehicle: BMW 3 Series Please confirm feasibility, parts, required approvals and an inspection appointment.

Supported years, parts and the accepted scope are confirmed after inspection. No kit availability is implied by this selection.

Read the relevant modification guide →You can review the WhatsApp message before sending it. Add exterior photos and a reference for your preferred look when speaking to the workshop. If you book instead, include the manufacture year, generation and desired look in the booking notes.
IDENTITY, APPROVALS & INSURANCE

Plan the work with the paperwork.

Before work starts, confirm whether the proposed changes are permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act and Central Motor Vehicles Rules, and whether registration-authority approval or an RC endorsement is required. Lighting and body changes must satisfy the applicable requirements; a fitting kit is not proof of legal approval.

Discuss any proposed alteration with your insurer. A styling upgrade is not automatically an insured repair or a cashless claim. Parts sourcing, specialist calibration and compliance documentation must be confirmed for the individual job.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your modification questions.

Clear answers about the vehicle, the intended look and the next step.

Can my 3 Series receive an M-inspired bumper?

Use a photograph to explain the desired appearance. The exact component, original vehicle and supporting fittings must be assessed before the workshop confirms whether it can accept that work.

Does a facelift include headlight conversion?

Only when lamp work is separately assessed and included in the accepted estimate. A matching outline or connector photograph is not sufficient evidence of compatible lamp functions.

Can I keep the original lamps and change the front styling?

State that preference when enquiring. The feasibility depends on the proposed assembly and the existing vehicle; a limited appearance change may require a different parts plan from a complete kit.
