INSURANCE CLAIM

How Cashless Accident Repair Works at a Workshop in Guwahati

A cashless motor claim still needs inspection, estimate, insurer authorisation and approved repair. Here is the workshop-side process CarTech Hub follows.

When an insured car arrives after an accident, the first workshop job is to record the visible damage and understand the customer’s claim status. CarTech Hub can inspect the affected body, mechanical and electrical areas, prepare a repair estimate and organise photographs or supporting workshop documents where they are required.

The estimate does not itself mean the claim is approved. The insurer may need to assess the vehicle, confirm policy coverage and authorise the repair scope. Cashless settlement is also claim-specific: deductibles, depreciation, excluded items, consumables or work outside the approved accident damage may still be payable by the vehicle owner.

Some impact damage only becomes visible after dismantling. A bumper may hide broken brackets, a damaged absorber, wiring or cooling components. When additional related damage is found, the workshop can document it and request supplementary consideration before approval-dependent work continues.

Repair timing therefore depends on more than labour. Survey availability, approval, parts supply, supplementary decisions, paint work and final documents can all influence delivery. Clear updates should tell the customer which stage is complete and what is still pending.

CarTech Hub supports the workshop side of the process in Sawkuchi, Guwahati, but the insurer remains responsible for claim admissibility, coverage and settlement. Customers should keep their policy or claim reference, RC details, driving-licence information and available accident photographs ready when they contact the workshop.
