Kia Seltos facelift and exterior styling assessment

A Kia Seltos styling request often starts with a preferred front or rear design. At CarTech Hub, turn that reference into a clear enquiry by identifying the current variant, the panels you want changed and the equipment you expect to retain.

A NEW LOOK.
THE SAME VEHICLE.

“Old-to-new” describes exterior styling. Your original manufacture year, chassis/VIN and registered identity stay the same. An exterior upgrade does not add a newer generation’s engineering or safety features.

A CLEAR PLAN BEFORE PARTS

Seltos modification planning

Provide the manufacture year, variant and photographs of the original grille, lamps, bumpers and rear trim. Mention any aftermarket accessories or repaired panels. Keep an HT, GT-Line or other trim description tied to the actual vehicle rather than assuming a styling package changes the variant.

01

Front grille and bumper discussion

Identify the exact areas you want refreshed. Ask what surrounding trim, brackets and lamp interfaces are involved before ordering a set advertised for a newer Seltos.

02

Rear finish and trim coordination

Discuss rear-bumper details, lamp appearance and paint finish separately. A coordinated look should account for the existing tailgate, access points and fitted equipment.

03

Repair with a controlled appearance change

If damage prompted the enquiry, have the damaged areas assessed first. Keep necessary repair and optional styling on separate estimate lines, especially where an insurer is involved.

COMPATIBILITY COMES FIRST

What we need to check

The exact model year and fitted equipment matter more than a kit’s marketing name.

  • Verify the exact Seltos generation and variant against the proposed part references.
  • Identify camera, parking-aid and lamp functions in affected areas.
  • Check the component list includes smaller trim and mounting items.
  • Confirm the intended colour, texture and retained parts before the finish is approved.

Scope and practical limits

GT-Line-inspired or newer-looking trim does not change the registered variant or add newer safety and driver-assistance equipment.

No advertised kit is accepted solely because the seller lists the Seltos model name.

FROM AN IDEA TO AN AGREED JOB

Four steps. A clear scope.

CarTech Hub’s workshop is in Sawkuchi, Guwahati. If you are travelling from elsewhere in Assam or Northeast India, discuss your vehicle before arranging the journey.

  1. 01

    Share the vehicle

Give the original year, model, variant, previous body repairs and clear exterior photographs. Show us the look you want.

  2. 02

    Check the fit

Arrange an inspection of mounting points, body condition, fitted lights and equipment. Confirm parts, technical requirements and applicable approvals.

  3. 03

    Agree the scope

Review an itemised parts and labour proposal, finish expectations and any work outside the accepted scope. Timing follows the assessment and parts confirmation.

  4. 04

    Review the result

Inspect panel gaps, secure fittings, paint finish and the operation of affected equipment. Keep the work record and any required approval documents.

YOUR CAR. YOUR IDEA.

Let’s plan
the right upgrade.

Start with the vehicle you own and the look you have in mind. We’ll confirm the work that can be accepted after checking the vehicle, parts and applicable requirements.

All existing vehicle entries remain available for enquiries. A listing does not confirm a conversion kit or workshop capability for that model.

Use the original year, not the look you want.

Hello CarTech Hub, I would like a modification assessment. Vehicle: Kia Seltos Please confirm feasibility, parts, required approvals and an inspection appointment.

Supported years, parts and the accepted scope are confirmed after inspection. No kit availability is implied by this selection.

Read the relevant modification guide →You can review the WhatsApp message before sending it. Add exterior photos and a reference for your preferred look when speaking to the workshop. If you book instead, include the manufacture year, generation and desired look in the booking notes.
IDENTITY, APPROVALS & INSURANCE

Plan the work with the paperwork.

Before work starts, confirm whether the proposed changes are permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act and Central Motor Vehicles Rules, and whether registration-authority approval or an RC endorsement is required. Lighting and body changes must satisfy the applicable requirements; a fitting kit is not proof of legal approval.

Discuss any proposed alteration with your insurer. A styling upgrade is not automatically an insured repair or a cashless claim. Parts sourcing, specialist calibration and compliance documentation must be confirmed for the individual job.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your modification questions.

Clear answers about the vehicle, the intended look and the next step.

Can an earlier Seltos get a newer-looking front?

Submit the exact vehicle details and the reference look for assessment. The workshop confirms what work, if any, it can accept after reviewing the components and fitted equipment.

Does the upgrade include newer cameras or assistance features?

No. Appearance work must not imply a technology retrofit. Any additional equipment would require a separate, explicitly supported scope.

Can insurance pay for optional styling after an accident?

Keep the styling enquiry separate from the damage repair. Insurer approval and policy terms decide eligible claim work; an optional appearance upgrade should not be treated as automatically covered.
