Identify the SEALION 7 version before making a service list

The BYD SEALION 7 is a battery-electric SUV, and the India range has developed since its initial launch. This five-seat SUV includes the Dynamic India variant introduced in 2026 with a 71.8 kWh battery, alongside 82.56 kWh Premium and Performance versions. Premium is rear-wheel drive and Performance is all-wheel drive. The Dynamic drivetrain and all installed equipment should be confirmed from the actual vehicle specification. CarTech Hub – Multi-Brand Car Workshop, Guwahati asks for the actual VIN, variant, build details and mileage before discussing maintenance or compatible components. The SEALION 7 name alone does not identify its complete equipment.

Tell the workshop what needs attention: a tyre impact, brake noise, weak cabin airflow, lighting damage or a dashboard message. Supported local work depends on appropriate facilities, procedures and technical capability. Brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, visibility and applicable body-repair enquiries can be assessed within the agreed scope. This guide does not claim battery opening, motor repair, inverter repair, charging-electronics repair or other high-voltage servicing at CarTech Hub.

Service update: recognize new variants without rewriting the old car

An India model update can introduce equipment or specification differences without changing the identity of an existing customer's vehicle. For SEALION 7, keep the variant and production record with the owner's documents, especially when comparing Dynamic with other trims. Do not take a charging specification, lamp assembly or convenience feature from one listing and assume it belongs to every vehicle. Overseas SEALION models and similarly named vehicles also need separate verification.

Use BYD's owner-information resources and the actual handbook for periodic-service requirements. Time, mileage, storage, local driving and the condition found during inspection all contribute to a sensible plan. Warranty coverage, recalls, software actions and manufacturer service campaigns should be confirmed with official BYD support using the VIN. CarTech Hub can help an owner organize the concern and accepted local work; it does not approve warranty cover or certify that an official campaign has been completed.

Understand the battery and drive as linked but distinct systems

The Blade Battery provides stored propulsion energy. The battery-management system monitors relevant battery information and supports controlled operation; a warning should be interpreted through suitable technical support, not a guessed part replacement. Battery design does not remove the need for proper assessment after an impact or unusual electrical event. A displayed range estimate also reflects recent energy consumption and conditions, rather than measuring a single failed part.

The drive motor produces motion and the inverter controls the electrical power associated with it. A reduction drive passes that motion toward the wheels. Which drive arrangement is fitted needs variant verification. A DC-DC converter supports lower-voltage electrical supply, while the onboard charger has an AC-charging function. These component roles help explain why a cabin electrical issue, charging interruption and propulsion warning may require different investigative paths. They are owner education, not an offer of specialist component repair.

Inspect wheels, braking and the SUV's ride condition

Tyre and wheel inspection is useful after a pothole impact or before a long trip beyond Guwahati. Check the correct application, condition and required ratings for the installed variant. A changed steering position, vibration or uneven wear may justify examination of steering and suspension as well as alignment-related requirements. Replacing an attractive-looking wheel without fitment checks can introduce another problem.

The established Premium and Performance India specification lists double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension; newly added Dynamic equipment needs its actual specification checked. Springs, dampers, arms, bushes and joints perform different roles in controlling movement and locating the wheels. Diagnose a knock, float or pull before ordering an assembly. Friction brakes still require attention even when regenerative deceleration is regularly used. The motor can recover some energy during deceleration, while pads, discs and other brake components remain safety-critical. Warning lights, a serious pedal change or a damaged tyre need a safe inspection decision before the vehicle is road-tested.

Verify exterior parts and the equipment attached to them

An SEALION 7 parts enquiry should include the VIN, photographs and the existing component's identification where available. Bonnet, fenders, doors, quarter panels, tailgate, glass and exterior lamps need the right model and build application. A bumper cover, reinforcement, bracket and attached equipment are different items in an estimate. The workshop should explain what is being repaired and what is being replaced rather than quoting a whole assembly without evidence.

Mirrors, sensors, camera equipment and powered fittings can make two visually similar parts function differently. Any required driver-assistance calibration, restraint assessment or specialist electrical work needs confirmed capability or referral. CarTech Hub will confirm parts availability, technical compatibility, quotation and delivery time after identification and supplier checks. Neither the existence of a current model page nor another owner's successful repair guarantees immediate local stock of every component.

Plan cabin comfort and low-voltage checks within supported limits

Cabin-filter condition, airflow from the vents, wiper performance, demisting and lighting are useful ownership checks. Weak airflow and insufficient cooling are different complaints, so describe them separately. Blower or low-voltage electrical investigation is only accepted where the actual equipment and procedures are supported. Electric AC compressors and thermal-management systems may involve high voltage; their repair is not advertised as routine local AC servicing.

The low-voltage battery supports vehicle controls and convenience functions. Its type and required replacement procedure must be established for the actual car, rather than assuming every BYD uses the same battery. A charging or ready-state complaint should include the exact message, recent events and any failed charger session details. Do not probe pins or attempt to isolate high-voltage components. The workshop can document the symptoms and identify an appropriate specialist route when necessary.

Use monsoon and pre-trip checks to resolve known concerns

Before a longer Assam or Northeast India journey, prioritize unresolved brake, tyre, steering, lighting and visibility concerns. Record damage from a recent kerb or underbody strike even when the SUV still drives. A clean exterior does not prove that concealed components are unaffected. Water exposure or charging-equipment damage should be discussed with qualified EV support before further use or charging where safety is uncertain.

Maintenance should be recorded with dates, mileage, observations and the work actually performed. Keep supported local inspections separate from any official BYD repair or campaign record so future service decisions have a clear history. Do not rely on one published service interval for every SEALION 7 variant. The correct handbook and the actual condition remain the reference for an agreed maintenance plan.

Prepare an EV-aware accident and insurance enquiry

CarTech Hub can discuss applicable SEALION 7 body repair and claim-document assistance in Guwahati. A survey and estimate may need to include lamps, supports, wheels, glass and underbody concerns beyond the visible outer panel. High-voltage, structural, restraint-system or calibration questions require suitable expertise and an accepted scope before work starts. Recovery and lifting arrangements should reflect the vehicle's condition and manufacturer guidance.

Cashless availability is unconfirmed until the insurer, policy conditions, survey, approval and workshop or network eligibility have been checked. Deductibles, depreciation or non-covered items may remain customer-payable. Use the dedicated SEALION 7 accident guide, BYD insurance section and official insurer links to organize the claim. Contact CarTech Hub by phone or WhatsApp or book an inspection with the vehicle and policy information for a practical next step.

Official insurer claim channels

BYD EV policy evidence and official insurer reporting links: an ordinary motor product or general cashless arrangement does not prove EV-specific battery cover, this vehicle’s policy terms or CarTech Hub eligibility for high-voltage work.

Choose your insurer’s official claim-intimation link. Submit policy and identity information directly through the insurer’s approved channel. Its process and cashless authorization remain subject to your policy and the assessed claim.

Independent workshop: CarTech Hub is a multi-brand car workshop in Guwahati. This guide does not establish manufacturer authorisation, insurer affiliation or parts availability. Confirm the vehicle-specific repair scope and any specialist referral with the workshop.
BYD electric-vehicle scope: Confirm the supported brakes, suspension, steering, low-voltage, lighting, body and glass work before a visit. These guides do not advertise traction-battery, inverter, drive-motor, charging-system or high-voltage electrical repair. Damaged battery/underbody areas, high-voltage warnings, heat, smoke or flood exposure need an appropriately qualified assessment and suitable recovery. Vehicle acceptance, isolation procedures and any specialist referral must be agreed before work.

Quick answers

Is SEALION 7 Dynamic a verified India variant?

Yes. BYD India announced the Dynamic variant in 2026. Identify the actual variant and build before using another trim’s equipment or charging specification for a service enquiry.

Does a SEALION 7 charging fault establish an onboard-charger failure?

No. Save the message, charger information and session conditions. The vehicle, charging facility and relevant systems need appropriate assessment before a failed component is identified.

Can an outer-panel estimate establish that the battery area is undamaged?

No. A relevant underbody impact or EV warning needs qualified assessment. Cosmetic repair should not proceed as though it resolves every concealed or high-voltage concern.
