From a Jaguar accident to an approved repair

5. Provide the RC, relevant driving licence, accident photographs and additional documents requested for the circumstances.
6. Coordinate survey or insurer inspection where required before unapproved dismantling.
7. Prepare an itemised estimate covering the supported repairs, compatible parts, paint and required specialist checks.
8. Submit the estimate and obtain insurer approval for repair or replacement; agree customer-authorised work.
9. Begin approved work, recording hidden damage and obtaining supplementary authorisation where required before extending the scope.
10. Repair or replace approved damaged parts using the accepted method and correct build specification.
11. Complete agreed denting, preparation, painting and corrosion protection; qualified calibration or electrical stages may be necessary.
12. Complete final inspection, required safety records and claim documentation.
13. Settle applicable deductibles, depreciation, exclusions, consumables and other non-covered amounts.
14. Deliver after accepted repair completion and explain any separately identified maintenance needs.

The sequence and documents may vary with insurer instructions, policy terms and accident circumstances. Normal wear, routine service and unrelated mechanical failure are not automatically covered. Correct parts and qualified safety assessment

A Jaguar XF headlamp, XJ door, F-TYPE roof component or F-PACE bumper must match the generation, body, wheelbase, trim and fitted safety equipment. Aluminium panels and structural joints need the correct repair method. Radar, cameras, airbags, seat-belt pretensioners and adaptive or air suspension can require qualified assessment and calibration. An accident-damaged I-PACE needs appropriate high-voltage safety assessment before affected body, mechanical, paint or heat work. Approved accident repairs, optional maintenance and specialist stages are itemised separately; safety-system bypasses and suppressed warnings are not legitimate repairs.
