Make the Aura's daily workload part of servicing

Frequent short journeys, long idling and luggage carried in the boot are useful details at an Aura service reception. They help the workshop consider the appropriate maintenance conditions and reproduce a concern. Keep a note of fuel use, the last service and any recent work. CarTech Hub is an independent multi-brand workshop in Guwahati, not an authorised Hyundai service centre. Confirm the requested work, any specialist requirement and warranty implications before deciding where a particular repair should be carried out.

Distinguish present and earlier fuel options

The current Aura has a 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual or AMT choices, while the factory bi-fuel petrol/CNG option uses a manual gearbox. Hyundai's earlier Aura manual also covers 1.0 turbo petrol and 1.2 diesel versions. Those engines are not interchangeable service applications. Record manufacturing year, VIN, engine, gearbox and the actual fuel-system installation before approving parts. The current manual directory separates January 2026 onward cars, making the production period important even when the exterior looks familiar.

Build a practical maintenance list

Check oil and filter requirements against the correct manual, then assess cooling hoses, intake cleanliness, belts and visible leakage. Spark plugs apply to petrol or bi-fuel engines; older diesel fuel-filter and emissions-related checks need their own schedule. Avoid a blanket major-service package that replaces everything at the same distance. Ask for due items, inspection findings and optional work to be shown separately. Persistent rough running should be investigated with suitable tests before an injector, ignition coil or engine mount is condemned.

Handle CNG and shifting concerns carefully

For a bi-fuel Aura, describe whether a symptom appears on petrol, CNG or during changeover. Gas storage, valves and pipework need qualified attention and the applicable inspection requirements. A suspected gas leak calls for stopping safely, avoiding ignition sources and arranging specialist help, not a casual hose adjustment.

An AMT is an automated manual mechanism, so its clutch and actuator controls require a suitable diagnostic process; it is not a conventional torque-converter automatic. A manual car's slipping sensation or heavy pedal needs clutch and release-system checks. Confirm the gearbox before discussing fluid or replacement assemblies.

Examine brakes, tyres and loaded ride quality

Ask for braking components, lines and parking-brake operation to be inspected alongside tyres and suspension. If the rear feels unsettled with passengers, inspect tyre pressure, wheel condition, bushes, dampers and springs before choosing parts. The correct pressure information comes from the vehicle label and manual. A noise over uneven roads is a reason to check, not proof of a widespread Aura defect. After an impact, alignment should wait until damaged components and mounting points have been assessed and repaired appropriately.

Include cabin comfort and sedan body checks

An AC system that struggles in traffic needs airflow, condenser, fan, refrigerant-leak and electrical checks as appropriate. Battery, charging and starting tests help distinguish a supply problem from a faulty accessory. For boot or rear-end damage, inspect the lid, latch, hinges, seals, lamps and floor area rather than pricing only the visible panel. A front scrape may involve brackets, wiring or cooling components behind the bumper. Airbag, restraint and structural work should go through confirmed qualified capability or referral; warranty concerns may require Hyundai's authorised network.

Follow the Aura claim from report to collection

Notify the insurer after securing the vehicle and taking photographs. Gather your policy, RC, driving licence and completed claim form; an FIR or additional supporting documents are conditional on the event and insurer requirements. An estimate should record the incident damage and identify areas needing survey inspection. Wait for insurer approval before insured repairs or dismantling unless the insurer allows earlier action. If hidden damage appears, submit it for supplementary assessment instead of treating the original estimate as unlimited permission.

Cashless settlement requires suitable policy cover, insurer acceptance, survey approval and eligible workshop network status. A Go Digit policy does not establish that CarTech Hub belongs to its network. Third-party-only cover does not pay for your own Aura damage, and service wear is not an accident loss. Once approved repairs are completed, review the quality checks, agreed work and customer share. Deductibles, depreciation where applicable, exclusions and non-payable items remain payable according to the settlement before delivery.

Quick answers

Can an Aura used commercially follow the same schedule as a lightly used family car?

Check the manual’s severe-use conditions and the actual operating pattern. Frequent idling, stop-and-go travel or commercial duty may change applicable maintenance requirements; the workshop should identify the relevant schedule rather than assume one.

What if the RC fuel entry differs from the fitted gas system?

Raise the discrepancy before service or an insurance claim and verify the installation records and registration compliance with the relevant authority. Do not assume a fuel-system change is already recorded or accepted by the insurer.

Should I remove luggage before an Aura rear-impact estimate?

Take photographs of the boot contents and condition first, then follow the insurer or surveyor’s instructions. An unobstructed inspection may be useful, but preserve evidence and avoid disturbing damaged gas-system components.

Can the replacement boot lid be painted without matching the car?

Provide the paint code and allow an assessment of the existing finish. Age, earlier repainting and blending requirements can affect the result, so a colour name alone is insufficient for a reliable paint estimate.
